SSE brought Architecture & Engineering Consultants (AEC) into the family of SSE affiliated companies. AEC was built on 18+ years of experience in planning, architectural, and engineering design, founded in March, 2007; it has quickly become one of the top architectural firms in mid Missouri. They are headquartered in the SSE Lake of the Ozark office and are now poised to expand their service area to the heartland of America in order to help SSE meet the needs of a growing client base.

SSE, through our affiliate, AEC offers a wide range of complex and mixed-use services in the field of architecture and engineering including Integrated Project Delivery, formally known as Design/Build. Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a project delivery approach that integrates people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that collaboratively harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to reduce waste and optimize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication and construction.

We are accomplished in the design of virtually all building types. Coordinating our engineering, interior design, and landscape design, we are able to provide our clientele total project management from the initial concept through construction close-out.

Architecture

Architectural services, both commercial and residential, are provided by Missouri Licensed Architects at SSE-AEC. Our Architectural Staff is well trained in current building codes, Fair Housing Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other safety issues that may arise in your project. As professionals, it is required that we maintain continued education in order to remain licensed, therefore we are kept up to date with current trends and technology. We utilize advanced tools of the trade such as Autodesk Architecture 2010 and Revit Architecture 2010 (BIM—Parametric model based design), Building Systems Design Spec-Link And Cost-Link, Stru-Calc 8, as well as many others.

Engineering

Our Engineering Department is comprised of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design professionals. All aspects from beam design to ground source heating and cooling system design can be provided by our experienced staff to meet your needs.

SSE-AEC’s Structural Engineering department focuses on general architectural projects and has particular strengths in steel design and pre-manufactured buildings. We can also provide FHA/HUD foundation certification, Monument sign design, remodels and additions, and code compliance assistance.

On-site inspections of existing structures and analysis of possible damaged structures, new design, and consultations allow our team to solve the issues you will encounter in your construction project.

Our MEP department focuses on energy efficient ground source heating, wind power generation, solar energy, and many other innovative methods to provide pleasure and comfort to the structures inhabitants.
